FIVE DAY COUNTDOWN TO 2018: 2017 Reflection

PERSONAL
  • What am I most proud of this year? My biggest achievement and the thing I am most proud of this year is creating this blog and chatting to all of you incredible readers.
  • My most fond memory this year? My fun memories this year are the times I spent with my four cousins.
  • What mistakes did I make this year? A mistake I made this year was thinking that my life was on a good track so I moved into my own place. What I learnt from that mistake is that nothing ever goes to plan in my life.
  • What did I learn about myself this year? I learned that I'm not as strong as I thought I was, in fact, I learned that I don't actually know myself at all. Although I did learn to love my small breasts. I have come to love the fact that I don't need to wear a bra. So that's a plus right?
  • What did I learn about other people? I learned that people only want to be a friend to me when I'm in a good place. If I'm not capable of doing things or going out then they don't give a shit.
  • My biggest disappointment this year? ALL OF IT. Every single day of 2017 was disappointment. And I thought 2016 was bad HA.
  • Who did I love spending time with this year? My whole family, they're my rock. And I loved the short-lived time I spent living with my best friend.
  • What are the scariest things I have gone through this year? Well the anxiety-ridden side of me would say everything is terrifying. But if it's just me talking I'd say my suicidal thoughts are pretty damn scary and I can't forget the time where me and my cousin nearly got decapitated by a flying taxi door.
  •  What was my most common mental state this year? A mess. It was a complete mess.
  • The best gift I received this year? A beautiful photo album/scrapbook from my cousin. It was very sentimental and thoughtful. It was definitely the most personal present I had received.
  • What is the nicest thing someone has done for me this year? The nicest thing was people who took their time to make sure I knew I'd always have their love and support.
  • If I could change one thing about this year, what would it be? If I could go back, I would definitely not have accepted that job in the hotel.
  • What new food/dish did I try this year? Hmm, well I love almost all food so there's not much for me to try. Two I can remember was 'hot and sour soup' and 'tuna pasta bake'. Both were absolutely beautiful.
  • What was my most common physical state this year? Again, a mess. A complete mess.
  • A hobby I loved spending time on this year? My writing (well typing). I've enjoyed exploring different writing avenues and techniques. I also loved making my way through every Hallmark movie to ever be made. That's a hobby right?
  • What am I most grateful for this year? My family for sure.
  • Three words to sum up the year (personal)? Pointless. Emotional. Destroying.
MOVIES/TV SHOWS (May contain spoilers)
  • TV show finales - We said goodbye to two long-running tv shows - The Vampire Diaries and Pretty Little Liars. As much as I loved both shows, I was definitely ready for them to come to an end, PLL in particular, I mean c'mon it was basically seven years of torturing us. Honestly I didn't for one second throughout the series, think that Spencer would have a twin. Did you predict the ending? Now TVD, I'm still not over Stefan's death to be honest with you. At first I hated Julie Plec for the ending, but after having some time to think it over and after watching it another 10 times, I realised that the ending completely made sense. It started with Stefan saying "This is my story" and it ended with him dying. Also, I would have been so mad if Damon would have sacrificed himself, not because I love him and wanted him to be with Elena, but because I didn't like Damon, and I didn't want him to be labelled as the hero who sacrificed himself for the town. Stefan deserved that title. But I was very happy with how they brought back characters and how they ended the episode itself with people being at peace. Because I believe that what the show was truly about was Stefan and Damon becoming again who they once where. How did you feel about the finale?
