The Versatile Blogger Award

Happy Sunday! I hope you're having a lovely weekend! This morning I was nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award by the beautiful and talented Francesca from Diary of a Twenty Something. I can't thank her enough! It means so much to me that I am thought of by other bloggers. Francesca's made a comment about my blog; "The content is so candid and honest and the writing is relatable." - I put so much of myself into my posts and I can't describe how happy it made me to see that it comes across to people.

Let's just jump in shall we.

1. Thank the person who gave you this award. That's common courtesy.
2. Include a link to their blog. That's also common courtesy.
3. Next, select 15 blogs/bloggers that you've recently discovered or follow regularly.
4. Nominate those 15 bloggers for the Versatile Blogger Award - you might include a link to this site.
5. Finally, tell the person who nominated you 7 things about yourself.

1. I can't swim.
When I was in Primary school we had weekly swimming lessons. I was doing pretty well. I had a
float but so did everyone. Then I went on holiday and I was in the adult pool with a ring and arm
bands. I got out to have a quick drink and me and my friend where sitting on the edge of the
pool sipping some juice. She jumped back in so I followed, completely forgetting that I had took
my arm bands and ring off to have a drink. So I started to drown. The lifeguard thought I was just
messing about and ignored me - thanks for that you d*ck - so my friends mum jumped in, fully
clothed, and saved me. When I returned back to school and went to my first swimming lesson since
being back I was fine the journey there, I was excited actually. And then as soon as I looked at the
water I just froze with fear. I have been terrified of the water ever since.

2. Art is in my heart.
I have always loved drawing. I can sit down for hours with a pad and pencil and just get lost in it.
Any time I go on a holiday break, my pad and pencil always go with me. I never know when I'm
going to come across a vision of beauty that deserves to be captured on paper.

3. I have never been able to do a hand stand or a cartwheel.
I don't mean I've tried and failed, I have just never done it. I've done the starting stance but that's
about as far as I can go. I genuinely have no idea how to do it. Like it baffles me. I can't even do
a hand stand against a wall. How do you do it? How?

4. Shawn Mendes is my soul mate.
I'm not even embarrassed about that either. Like my heart genuinely hurts when I look at him. I
actually wish the guy was from Liverpool and wasn't famous.

5. I can pick locks.
This was something I taught myself a few years back. I was just bored to be honest but you never
know when a skill like that could come in handy.

6. I'm obsessed with the 1920s.
The music and the fashion was just absolutely incredible. I wanted to have a 1920s themed
birthday party for my 21st but apparently I missed the memo about only being allowed to have a
party for either my 18th or my 21st. Forever waiting for an excuse to dress up like a flapper girl.

7. I'm stubborn, opinionated, generous and strong.
I have been sitting here for the last 10 minutes trying to think of my last fact about myself and I
was drawing a complete blank. So I asked my dad to name some facts about myself and he said
that I am stubborn, opinionated, generous and strong. All of which I get from him. He taught me
from a very young age to; never follow other people, always stand my ground, stand up for what
I believe in and to always have a kind heart. So this fact is exactly that, a fact. I'm the strong one in
my family. If someone tells me not to do something; I do it. And I will never silence my opinions.

I only recently discovered Sarah's blog and I love it! It's honest, it's well written, her blog layout is to-die-for and Sarah is so down to earth. I'm so glad that I've had the chance to connect with a blogger as fabulous as her.

I have been a regular reader of Soinspo since the first post I read of Sophie's. There hasn't been a single post that I haven't loved. Her photography is stunning, her blog is stunning and her writing is just incredible. Sophie has a beautiful and colourful soul and is the most incredible person I have had the pleasure of connecting with in the blogger word. A ray of sunshine! Remember the name Sophie Sierra - because her writing is going to take the world by storm.

I think we can all agree that the very talented Emma made crime posts cool as f*ck! I love real crime shows so much, so when Emma showed up on the blogging scene with a niche that wasn't popular, I knew that she was going to kill it! (no pun intended) I actually know Emma personally so I'm a little biased. But she truly is an incredible woman with an incredible blog.

This blog looks like a dream! It's minimalist yet it stands out. Almira is definitely one of the most incredible bloggers I have come across in years. Her writing style is always relatable and inspiring in some way. This beautiful soul is always encouraging everyone to be themselves.

It does exactly what it says on the tin - this wonderful lady is one of the most positive people I have ever spoke to. She is fairly new to the blogging world and she is already smashing it! And it's no surprise what so ever. Keep your eye out for this woman because she is destined for great things!

I feel like I'm repeating myself here but here's another woman who's beautiful soul shines bright through her writing and in the blogger community. Em is always keen to talk to everyone, spread positivity and offer support without a second thought.

Yet again another fierce woman! Not only is her writing and blog amazing, she is unbelievably supportive and positive. I'm so glad that I have been able to connect with such a kindhearted soul.

This blog has been bookmarked on my laptop since the first time I visited the site. It's honestly been one of the most inspirational blogs for me in the last couple of months. It's no surprise since this incredible lady is an undeniably amazing writer.

Vix Meldrew in 5 words - The Queen of relatable content

Ok so I'm going to have to bend the rules a bit and only do 9 blogger nominations. A lot of bloggers have already been nominated for this.

Thanks again to Francesca! Your support means everything.

All my love
