The Christmas Blog Tag

I was scrolling through Twitter this morning and I came across a blog tag that Ashleigh Writes had took part in for Blogmas, so I thought I'd jump on the festive bandwagon and give it a go myself. Feel free to take part in this fun tag yourself. Here goes;

What is your favourite Christmas film?

Elf - 100%! It's the most incredibly made Christmas movie that has been made.

Have you ever had a white Christmas?

I have and it was beautiful! I think it was a good 5 years ago now, but I remember walking through the snow in the morning and the atmosphere was simply magical.

Where do you usually spend your holiday?

I spend Christmas day at my Nan and Grandad's every year. There's no other place I'd dream of being.

What is your favourite Christmas song?

Now that's a tough one...I love my Christmas playlist but I'd have to say that my favourite is I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day by Roy Wood.

Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?

I certainly do! I get one present and it's always Christmas pyjamas.

Can you name all of Santa's reindeers?

I used to be able to, let's see if I can still remember them. Rudolph, Dasher, Dancer, Cupid, Prancer, Comet, Vixen...ah I can't remember the other two!! Damn.

What holiday traditions are you looking forward to most this year?

I love my Christmas traditions, but I'm just looking forward to having fun with my family. I'm also looking forward to giving my boyfriend his presents. Nothing makes me happier than giving people I love presents that I put a lot of thought into.

Is your Christmas tree real or fake?

It's fake. Watching Christmas Hallmark movies makes me want to have a real tree but then I think about all the mess that will cause, so I think I'll stick with a fake one for now.

What is your all-time favourite holiday food/sweet treat?

Food - it would definitely have to be pigs in blankets. My favourite festive sweet treat is chocolate log. I hate Christmas pudding so my Nan has always bought me Chocolate log as a substitute.

Be honest: do you like giving gifts or receiving gifts better?

Obviously I like receiving gifts, but one of my favourite parts of Christmas is putting thought into gifts for those I love, and then seeing their faces when I give those gifts.

What is the best Christmas present you have ever received?

I actually can't pin point my favourite present. Everyone who buys me presents knows me so well, so I love everything I get. Maybe I'll have an answer for you this Christmas.

What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season?

I wouldn't want to spend Christmas day anywhere else but I would love to visit New York throughout December. I've also always dreamt of spending a few days in a cabin in the middle of nowhere around Christmas. Log fire, hot chocolate, no internet - ah heaven!

Are you a pro-present wrapper, or do you fail miserably?

I'm a pro...at wrapping boxes. Anything else looks ridiculous!

Most memorable holiday moment?

As I was typing that every holiday is memorable to me, I remembered when Amy and I went Christmas shopping and after enjoying a lovely hot chocolate and bailey's, she fell down the stairs. After we'd finished laughing we walked to the lights to cross over the road and as we were waiting a taxi door flew off it's hinges and literally missed our heads by about 25cm. It was hilarious at the time until we got home and it hit us how close we were to being decapitated.

What made you realise the truth about Santa?

What truth? That he's very much real and he's the source of Christmas magic? Then I've always known it.

Do you make New Years Resolutions? Do you stick to them?

I don't go out of my way to make them but I probably say something in passing.

What makes the holiday's special for you?

My loved ones.

19 Sleeps to go!

Love, Han
